Hello, and welcome to the first post here on Definition: You!
I am incredibly proud to present a new system of online shopping, one that enables larger groups of people to purchase the designs they love in a meaningful way. This simple concept, providing the same design on multiple fabric types, is something that hopes to enable customers by giving them the power to truly customize a product to their liking.
This system has allowed for more colorations and styles to be offered, as well as different prices on a single product. At present, for our t-shirts, we offer two different cotton types that each come with their own unique feel. One style has less available color options, but is cheaper in comparison; the other is a bit more expensive but has a different feel and dozens of colors to choose from. This level of customization could prove to be revolutionary.
Why does any of this matter?
I can still remember months back when I would find myself scrolling through the immense amounts of products on other online stores. It baffled me when a design only came with one color, or in three sizes, when just a little down the list was the same product in a different color. Worse yet was coming across a tri-blend styled shirt with a nice print and seeing the price go through the roof on account of the material used.
This massive lack of options spurred me to create an online store that allows you to define products to your liking. The clothing we wear is representative of our interests and our personalities, and the buyer should have both the ease and ability to formulate a product to their liking. As technology becomes more powerful and the unimaginable becomes possible, fashion is going to change, but the need to represent who you are will not.
Before I get moralistic here- I'll save that for another post- I want to reiterate the importance of having the ability to truly define who you are and what you wear. At Definition: You, we are going to continue experimenting with new ways to make that possible.
